Its important to rememeber that at the end of the world it will be prime time to loot and pilage. While friends and family cower in their homes or shelters its up to you to feed, cloth and secure the weak-willed.

First on the docket should be hardware store. Bring some kinda weapon. Most people will flock to a super market or wal-mart. Not you. You need hammers, nails, saws, lazer pointers, bags of cement mix. Load up and move on to build you fortress!

Next will be water! I don't care if you get it from a pond, sink, bottle or clouds. You need water to live. And you can always boil water unless you have no idea how to start a fire (more on that later). So put out some tarps and buckets and start collecting that precious life source. Or steal it. Also fill up your tub like you did back in Y2K.

Food! Food is good cause it keeps you alive long enough to be eaten by zombies or killed by looters, unless your the looter doing the killing. Stores, restaurants. Get anything that wont spoil, cans, packaged goods. Load up and keep stuff in a dry place to keep it from molding. If you live in a cold climate and have a way to keep food cold then do so!

Also if you found this post because you are raiding and looking for loot on WoW sorry cause WoW wont be up when the zombies take over... or will it.

So yesterday I started going into hiding. Its kinda hard when you have a job and kids and family and stuff like that so basically I just found a fake beard at the Bi-Lo in one of those prize ball machines and I've been wearing that.

My boss does not approve but I have had great success selling products to other men with beards.

Speaking of beards lets talk about zombies. Have you ever seen a zombie with a beard? I can't say that I have. And I'm not talking bout Zombie Jesus or Zombie Ab Lincoln or Rob Zombie I mean a zombie in a movie or real life. Just saying, not many bearded zombies running around.

Topic of the day is going to be: Hunkering Down. During a zombie outbreak one might think it is time to leave but depending on your situation staying home may be a good idea. You are already familiar with the layout of your house, you probably have some food stocked up and yes that 5 year old can of chicken soup is going to have to be opened if you want to live. You have weapons... chairs, butcher knifes, 500 lb TV, you name it it can be a weapon.

You will also be familiar with the local area, where schools are, grocery stores, gas stations. Also if you stay and others flee then get to looting! Your neighbor might not like the fact that you kicked in their door and broke their great-grandmothers end tables for fire wood now but when they come back and you have turned the neighborhood into a zombie free zone they will worship you like a God.

So Hunker Down and fight it out cause being on the movie sucks, cause your gonna run out of gas and food and be out in the middle of nowhere and get eaten by zombies or radioactive ants.

Ok, apparently no one wanted to let me know we did not have a rapture Saturday. I have been killing "zombies" left and right and it just turns out its the homeless population that I have been thinning and not the zombie Apocalypse.

The local newspaper has even been reporting on someone slaughtering the local homeless community. In a twist no one is pressing charges, cause screw homeless people.

Also rapture wont be happening to October now. But at least I have some practice in. I mean if I can kill a fully able homeless man then I can take out a half rotten corpse.

Keep posted on my progress. I need to lay low for a while.

May 23rd: Part 2

This is a shot I got while I was taking my kid to dance class today. Amazing how the world has ending and I get to take my 4 year old to dance class...

Anyway. This happy fellow was out near Harold Ave. Got the shot right before he tried to maul me. I'll admit that while Kayla (daughter) was in dance class I went outside and did some clearing up for the other parents. Fortunately when I went to Spain back in 04 I get this sweet Toledo steel sword. Its not shard tho but it was great for bashing skulls and knocking down the baby zombies.

That's right baby zombies. Straight out of Dead Space. Well not really, they are just little kid zombies. I'm not afraid to shoot a baby, long as its a zombie.

So cleaning up around the dance studio was fun and all but I also had to scavenge... Unfortunately people still work at Wal-Mart so I was forced to buy stuff, heck my debit card even worked. If it wasn't for the zombies walking around in the sporting goods section I would think I have just been killing people who are severely dehydrated.

May 23rd. Two days since the rapture.

Oh everyone said it would never happen. But who is laughing now? Saturday at 6pm EST (cause God works on Eastern time) the rapture happened.

In my town alone half the people just up and poofed away. Well their souls did. They left their bodys behind to kill the rest of us!

Needless to say it was kinda hard to make that first kill. These zombies are still so fresh you can't tell em apart from the rest of us. Well most of em are wearing sweater vests and have haircuts from the 1940's.

So far my family has gotten by on our current food supply. We just got two weeks of food and we haven't lost power yet so we get to keep our perishables for a bit longer.

Well I gotta get some sleep. Will have to go out scrounging for supplies in this post rapture world with the christian zombies trying to eat the rest of us left...

Comic Review : The Walking Dead

So I feel like I'm way behind on this one. I started reading the comic way over a year ago when I first saw it on Image comics website. I did not get my first one till September. I'm on volume 4 so far and I think it is a great read.

The one part about the inevitable zombie appocolips is that you will have to deal with other people and survival ontop of the zombie hoards that is constantly stalking you. This comic really gets into that part. Dealing with food, water, shelter and other people be them friend or foe. I give the comic a 10 out of 10 for capturing the end of the world in print!

Just wanted everyone to know I'm still alive. Been working two jobs and bought a home in another town so I had to move again! Anyway... Going to start reviewing movies/games/books again and getting back into fortifying my home/vehicles!

Home Plan!

So I got a new place to stay. I need to fortify it tho...

First off, its a single story home. On the inside its open. There are two doors, one to the street and one to the backyard. Each room has several windows... I dont like windows. I am going to need a bit of Plywood to cover those up. I figure a sheet of plywood and 3 inch long screws will keep out the zombies.

Backyard... Needs somework. I need a higher fence for one, at least 7 or 8 foot tall. Also need to have a makeshift access to roof ladder that can be destroyed in a pinch as well as another ladder built onto the roof to getting down to escape if need be, even a one story fall could injure someone.

Also need to install a sharp shooter stand in one of the old oaks in the yard, so I can keep lookout and pop any on comming zombies.

Also you can never have enough guns.

Zombies in DND are boring

So I'm a huge nerd. I play DND and I have my friends over and I love zombies and so do they. So I said "Zombies zombies zombies!"

Turns out fighting 60 zombies in 10 encounters is boring as hell, even having them act like zombies just makes it worse. Zombies are slow, dumb and apparently miss a lot if you have high AC (note to self, increase natural AC for end of the world).

Even throwing in a few extras like a zombie abomination and a controller that made minion zombies all attack at once did not help the mundaneness of it all.

Oh well. We had fun making fun of ourselves and how often I said "you find nothing of consequence."

How to Kill Zombies, Insight from a dream.

I am in a lot of trouble for posting this should she fine it but I think its gold and she should be proud of it!

My girlfriend woke up and told me about a dream she was having about zombies, apparently she has dreams about zombies a lot. I know I know, awsome girlfriend right! What is even more awsome is how in her dream she even attempted to find a way to kill zombies.

How did she kill them you ask? Apparently if you soak a dryer sheet in water the solution will desolve the zombie virus turning the host sorta human again. They experimented on a head in a school/landry mat and found that adding the solution turned the head human again.

At this point in the dream they armed themselves with a tub of dryer sheet water and squart bottles with water and dryersheets inside. Ready to destroy the zombie heard she woke up from me comming in the room... Yeah my bad =(

Oct. 9th! I can not wait. I am totally going to go zombie for this movie, I just hope they play it at the local drive in (I know the owner and I bet he would love some zombies at the drive in).

From the preview I will have to say this movie is a must see for those who want to survive the zombie outbreak. Can't wait to write a review on this badass film.

Living off the Land

Time to invest some time... into learning something you might not know.

Supplies you will need for the end of the world that are not weapon related are oftain over looked. Food is needed if you plan to live more then a few days once the world ends.

Sure there will still be food and stuff at shopping malls and cans of food in homes and all that but you will still need some way of supplying your own food.

Gardening: You will want in your survival kit several packets of seeds. Things that can grow in your area during all different seasons. Be aware that you can grow some things indoors or on roofs or even without soil. Look it up your can find lots of info on how to plant and manage growing plants online.

Hunting: Hunting will be very dangerous in the zombie filled world we will soon live in. One is the waiting you do out in the open or in a tree, spending four or five hours in a tree while the wind is blowing and sending your sent to every zombie in the area is not the best idea. That and the load discharge the gun will make if you do find a mark will attract more zombies still. If you hunt I suggest a walk hunt followed by a speedy getaway with a medium or small animal.

Scavanging: Finding a old tin of beens or pee's will be a option for at least a few months or even years depending on how many people live past the initial outbreak. Homes will be the best place to find them as more public areas like shopping centers will be ransacked early on. When sweeping a house be ready for close quarters combate. Your gonna want to know right where the kitchen is and get in get your food and get out. If the house looks liek someone broke in and ransacked it then you will probably waste time looking it over for food.

Best case scanario: In your house built on steel reinforced concreat pillers you have a air garden that grows in your personal greenhouse, in the lower levels you have rabbits that you have been breeding for their size and the speed that they grow. All this while a large canvas captures morning dew and rain water that is filtered into drinking water for you. The mile of fenced in area keeps zombies and raiders out while you live the good life... all alone... with no internet... omg worst case scanario!

Game Review: The Last Guy

Played the demo for this a while back and I thought it was fun fun fun. In the game you play a guy who is out to save flocks of non zombie skilled people who are just waiting for someone to lead them to safety. All the while zombies (or monsters as they look on the screen) will stalk the streets waiting to spot one of your refugees and give chase.

I gave the demo a whirl and have to say it was fun, its on my wish list of games I need to buy.

Gonna use a different rating system for Demos as they are not the full game.

I give it a 2 out of 3 on the demo scale, I plan to buy it and it looks like a fun little game.

During a outbreak you need people... people with skills. Skills like how to kill a man with a pen and how to skin a cat and how to make a rope out of armpit hair. Ok maybe non of those skills but still!

Fighter: You will need a fighter, a sort of tank for the group, this person has to be willing to hurt others. This is not limited to but includes: fighting zombies, other humans who threaten the group, raiders, wild animals and possibly even swat a fly or two. This person does not have to be huge and bulky but needs lots of hit points or a big gun, either or. Equipment will be hand to hand weapons, and short range fire arms such as a pistol, shot gun, tire iron, chain saw, hockey stick and so on.

Healer: Every group has a nurse or something to help with those cuts and scrapes you get. In the outbreak the last thing you want is to die of a staph infection and not a zombie bite! This person can be anyone really they just need to be in charge of cleaning wounds and covering them to prevent infections. Equipment includes, knives, bandages, antiseptic, gauze, Mad Dog 2020... to take the edge off.

Thief: Need something bad? Your handy dandy thief should be able to acquire it for you. That family over by the rocks has a radio... not for long! Or that car has a tire we need for ours but its guarded by a group of dogs! Send in the thief, there will be more throat slicing then you can shake a stick at! Equipment will be daggers, cloaks, D20's and shoes of silent sneaking +1

Your Piece: Every hero needs a hot chick he gets to save every day of the end of the world! Make sure she is very clumsy and falls a lot and is to dumb to figure out how to escape the WILD HOGS biker gang that has her tied to a tree with "Invisible" rope... Or just get the first chick you see decap a zombie with a frisbee, your call. Equipment: Non preferably and I MEAN NON!

Engineer: Gotta have someone make all those AWESOME makeshift weapons you guys will be using for here on out. Those sharpened sticks with fire ants on the end are a good idea... to bad zombies don't give a crap about ants! GET YOURSELF A NEW ENGINEER! Equipment should be a backpack full of random tools but never the one you need... also a rock for use as a hammer. Give the hammer to the fighter.

Types of Zombies

So I have been away for a while, been doing some research... or just being to lazy to post.

I would like to bring to everyone's attention that dire need for information about zombies. Should real life zombies attack today we would all be doomed for lack of information, The zombie survival guide addresses some information but not all of it! For that we need to look into what we, as people have made up about zombies!

Movie Zombies!!!

Movie zombies very from film to film. In early movies zombies where blue corpses who rolled a 1 in the move department and failed all their motor skills at a early age. These zombies could be pushed out of the way and outrun without a single care in the world. God please send these zombies should there be a need for zombies to attack the human race.

Other movie zombies have proven to be horribly gifted with super human powers. Such as the ability to run non stop forever or climb walls or jump great distances, shit some of them even have claws!

Comic Zombies!!!

Originally zombies in comics where reserved for the original zombies come back from the dead out of grave yards who ate brains and walked slow as hell. Now its a different story, with the addition the Marval Zombies, Zombie Bruce Lee and Presidential zombies (web comics) like Zombie Lincoln, Zombie JFK and Zombie Nixon we are in for a world of hurt!

Super hero zombies is just to much. I mean dammit the hulk should not be a zombie! its not fair!

Game Zombies!!

Games have taken it about as far as it goes. The RE games made zombie dogs my least favorite zombie, next to Left 4 Dead's Tanks and Witches. I mean that's just wrong, If the world becomes infected by RE type zombies I am throwing in the towel. Tho I will give it a fighting chance with the Left 4 Dead type zombies, as long as I get a shotgun and unlimited ammo.

Game Review: Fallout 3

I am gonna say Fallout 3 a zombie game because of the ghouls. Lets just say its awesome to go into a subway tunnel and then attacked by some crazy ghoul that wants to eat your flesh!

Its a fun FPS or RPG. The shooting system where the game pauses so you can aim is great. I currently have a character who specializes in sneak attacks. Its cool to get into a building or tunnel and then sneak up on a super mutant and then blow his head off in one shot.

I love end of the world games and books and I have to say this one makes you feel like you are right there in a world destroyed from the atom bomb. Dust and mutant Fire Ants that shoot FIRE out of their mouths and mercs robots from movies from the 50's all out to kick your ass. Not the mention the Ghouls!

Ghouls are humans that got fried by the radiation fallout but lived. Some are still normal and can give you quests. While some are blood crazy and ready to ripe you apart.

I give this game a 10 out of 10 for pure survival greatness! If you want to survive the end of the world play this game!

Zombie Safety 101: Vehicle - Jeep

For my zombie vehicle I am going to customize my 91' Jeep Wrangler into a zombie fortress.

First you need some large tires. Some big ol' things like some 44' mud tires! You gotta be able to wade over the walking corpses after all. On the front of my Jeep I am going to install a nice metal wedge to part the sea of rotting flesh. And then I am going to cover the whole thing with metal fencing. That way I can still shoot out of it and have plenty of air flowing though.

The drawbacks are as follows. A big wrangler wading though zombies could get bogged down and leave your stranded in a sea of death. The fencing could let zombies to bleed all over you thus infecting you and making you a zombie... The wedge has no drawbacks as its just cool as hell.

Ok maybe using a jeep wrangler as a zombie survival vehicle is not such a good idea. Unless your using it to get to your discreet house located deep in the mountains.

Game Review: Dead Space

I tryed out Dead Space for the first time New Years night. I have to say the game is freaky! I won't give much story but I will give you the fight details.

Basicly you have a minning tool for a gun. It shoots out plasma blasts in a shape, you can upgrade to get different shapes as well as upgrade damage, ammo count and reload capacity.

I honestly liked to swing it around like a club more then shoot stuff. You get some cool powers like the ability to freeze time and levetate objects.

Getting killed takes on a whole new meaning, as your lifebar depleats (as indicated on a lightbar on your spine) you can get latched on to and have to slam the X button to kick them off you.

I would consider this a zombie game because the infection takes over humans and is what I would consider alien. Tho it seems as if the infection can spread to humans that have already died and isent somthing you get from bites but more of a seed planted in your body.

Shooting the limbs off of them and curb stomping them when they are down is the best way to take them out.

The freak out factor is up there to. I jumped at least a dozen times in the first hour of the game. Zombies I thought I killed jumped back up to kick my ass, ones that lay motionless on the floor moments before also suddenly came to life and opened a can of whoop as on me.

I suggest playing it in a dark room with no one else around for the best performance.

I give Dead Space a 8 out of 10. Good game, thank you EA.

Book Review: Dead Sea by Brian Keene

I have just finished this wonderfully informative book from Brian Keene.

I have to say the guy is apparently a experienced writer on the subject of the ghouls. He has other books out now and I think I will be picking them up soon.

I judge a book on the speed at which I read it. I have had some books I sorta like that I got a year ago and I am still reading. I have books I am reading only because I have to and I have only read a few chapters. I read this book in less then a week and all while moving my while apartment by myself... and I have a lot of junk!

It was 318 pages of pure zombie bliss. I loved how he made the world and how the characters acted and reacted to situations.

Imagine a world in which the dead walk the street, dripping with decay and maggots, covered in flies. And you live in that world. It would be like having roadkill strapped to your face 24/7. That is the feeling I got from this book. Not only did humans become zombies but so did the animals. Some where immune yet it would mutate and turn them undead to. Can you imagine a zombie shark or whale? or a zombie flock of seagulls? I wouldn't want to. As much as I would want to live in a zombie apocalypse if the birds got it I would just give up, I mean flying zombies that is just not fair!

I give this book a 9 out of 10. I enjoyed it very much and stayed up till 2am finishing it last night and I had to work this morning!

Zombie Safety 101

Having a degree in zombie safety I have been charged with teaching the general public how to avoid becoming that which is at the top of the food chain... namely zombies!

By following these five easy steps you can put yourself at a great advantage in the war on zombies and the survival of the human race.

1. Do you have a plan of action?
Bring able to say that you know exactly what you will do in the event of the zombie invasion is one that that will set you apart from most others. Your prepared. You ran this scenario though your mind every morning when you where stuck in traffic waiting to get to that desk job. The same job you used to surf the internet and buy a remote piece of land on the side of a hill for 200$ because they said it was impossible to build a house on the the face of a cliff... ha! what do they know!

2. What form of transportation will you take?
This is a very important issue one must think of now... are you going to take that 10 speed bike that wont ever need fuel... or are you gonna deck your jeep out in barbwire and a giant snow plow?! This is going to be one thing you will want to think about.

Bikes are the best in getting away, you are less likely to be killed by another human trying to rob you of your bike... they don't wanna have to peddle that thing! Now if you have a car I would suggest getting it bullet proofed and make sure the locks work. That jerk down the street with the safe full of ammo and guns is going to kill you the second you try to make a break for it in your car!

Tho I will admit, having a car in a post-zombie world is going to attract all the ladies... and zombies. Sure you died a horrible torn to pieces death but you got laid.

3. What food will you bring?
Canned food is the best. It has a long shelf life and can be eaten without cooking it. You have to remember that there will be no electricity so you will have to keep food that does not require it to be cold... like pizza. I might go zombie asap due to the fact I would never have pizza again =(

4. Do you have a secure location to go to?
So provided you build that house on the stilts in the woods 100 miles from any roads with a rooftop garden and water pump with a AZP (Anti-Zombie Perimeter) you should be good! If not holy crap your screwed! OK don't panic. Do not go to a mall or a church or some shopping center. If you can secure your house do so, hope to go its two stories and board up the windows on the inside and out and bolt and lock and board up the door! Destroy the staircase and hope to God you have enough food to last you till the zombies rot away!

5. What type of gear do you have?
Your gonna want socks... lots of them... Lt. Dan once told me that I needed to change my socks every time we stopped... OK maybe not socks but they can be used for some things you never thought possible... like to stop bleeding or to fill with rocks and use as a mace... Or even store food.

You will need a firearm. Practice with it at a range (not your backyard). A rifle and a handgun would be preferable, if you can get a silencer that would be a plus.

A hand to hand weapon will also be needed. I prefer maces. A bladed weapon can get stuck in bones and render you empty handed. A mace of some sort can crush bones and destroy brains. A simple mace can just be a piece of metal pipe or a 2X4.

A knife is also something that can save your life as a last means of defense as well as a useful tool for a number of things.

Tight fitting clothes, nice pair of heavy duty steel-toe boots and a backpack that can easily be released if it is grabbed.

In a perfect world I would pack my food and tools in the backpack, put it over both shoulders as to not ware out one shoulder. I would carry my rifle over my right shoulder to allow for easy access to the weapon. The handgun would be either at my side or in my hands at all times. Safety one when holstered. My mace easily accessible by either attacking to belt or backpack. My knife strapped to my leg and a machete in my offhand in case I need to cut down brush, or look like a bad ass if I run into a hot chick.

If your reading this post you have done yourself a great service. By understanding the enemy one can understand what they are up against.

Zombies are the undead. Simple yet complex.

It has been said that Zombies are super strong or fast or any number of things however this is not true. They are limited by what the body could do while it was living, as well as the fact that over time it will break down and decay. Zombies can push a body past the limits a normal human could. They can walk for months or even years without stopping to rest... provided their legs don't fall off.

Zombies cant grasp simple things like tools or climbing. Basic motor skills are not passed on to the zombie. Using ladders and even stairs is a problem for them. They have poor balance and hand eye coordination. Did I mention they move so slow you could out walk them?

Some strong suits zombies have are their amazing ability to find humans. Its as if they can tell by using all their senses where a human is. Zombies don't seem to rely on vision as much as humans do as they can hunt in utter darkness and even can hunt without the use of eyes. Their grip is amazing. Once a zombie has you in its grasp it can hold on. God forbid you get attacked by a zombie that was once a person who put a lot of effort into their grip! Their sense of smell and hearing is well beyond that of a human. I think personally the reason zombies can tell humans apart from other zombies is that they can one, smell you and two can hear you breathing.

The only way to kill a zombie is to destroy the brain. I will go into weapons in a later blog. Severing the head also works but it leaves the head still active and could cause someone to get a nasty bite on a foot if they don't notice the head.

Looks like our old pal Max Brooks is coming out with a new book. Remember at the end of ZSG the list of recorded attacks? Well I will admit I looked up Fort Louis Philippe after reading the recorded zombie attacks... just to find out that the location must be top secret because of the zombie attack on it!

Zombies, the making of

Many wonder how zombies come to be. Its no mystery that there are several different types, from voodoo zombies who are not really the undead but just very heavily drugged to alien worms that burrow into the minds of people and take over their bodies.

Today I want to discuses the making of zombies from a point of view not used very often.

Much like resident evil the zombies made in the games/movies are infected by the G-virus. Its a man made weapon that went horribly wrong.

Modern day zombies however come from something similar yet it was not man made, and it possibly predates mankind altogether. A simple virus that was concocted in the proverbial primordial soup. Unable to attack its single cell cousins it went dormant for the day that it might be found by a being it would be able to infect.

Sources tell me that in the oldest lands this virus lies in wait. And in the worst possibly location no less! China, up in the rural farmlands away from technology the virus will infect its first victim.

And believe you me, up in the rural foothills of China the locals are gonna have no idea what to do... cause they don't have access to this blog! Much like they don't have access to Big Macs and Whoopers...

One person would be able to infect millions in rural China before the threat was noticed. Soon people working in factories would suddenly die after being sick, and then arise to bite someone else or die in a stream used for drinking water or worse, end up in Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies...

It wouldn't take long for infection to spread world wide as people flee the country in search of help, bringing with them the hurt and infected. Soon borders will close and trading on Wall Street will stop (oh noes the stocks!)!

Being bitten or having a open wound come in contact with fluid from a zombies body would make the spread easy. That and the undead are not easily harmed. Destroying the brain would be the only way for terminate a threat and not knowing this (for the public has not headed the words of me or Max Brooks.) we would be doomed!

However thanks to new efforts in zombie awareness we will one day be prepared for the inevitable attack or whatever zombie gets thrown at us! Unless they are crimson heads... those bastards are fast!

Game Review - Sonny

Sonny is a java game I found on Kongregate.com, a website based mostly on flash and java games.

I haven't played the game all the way thought but I can say its fun. Its a RPG style game. You start out as a Zombie hybrid. While you are a zombie you still retain control over your body and mind. You are however very strong and hard to kill.

You fight zombies, ninjas, commandos, shaman... I imagine there is more to but I didn't get that far. You also get to equip any armor you pick up as well as weapons and there is a specialization tree system to increase your powers. Fights are turned based and the graphics are ok considering they are java based.

I give the game a 8 out of 10. That is on the flash/java game scale so not related to other next gen console game reviews. And it has like 4 and a half million plays so the game is a good play.

I will also point out Kongregate.com has about 8600 pages of games related to the search word Zombie. So I think its safe to say any zombie game on the web is gonna be found there.

Movie Review: Dawn of the Dead (1978)

So I have watched this and I will say, Romero is king of zombie movies.

The movie starts out showing a broadcast station having some trouble reporting on a disease that is causing people to go crazy. Little do they suspect people are turning zombies.

They also show police clearing a building infested with zombies. This sets up the plot for the main characters. A helicopter pilot and his lover, and two cops, one who is a buddy of the pilot.

After fleeing the city in their chopper they land for refueling and get attacked by zombies and have to take them out.

Then they get to the main part of the movie where they land in the mall and decide to clear it of its infestation and live there. Malls have lots of goods one can use in a zombie invasion including food, clothing and tools. They are however very hard to secure depending on the number of people you have.

I wont give away the rest of the movie but it is a classic so expect the zombies to look really gray and not much blood and guts on them. Most of them look downright silly. I will say however that the bite effects do look cool and for the year it was made in they did some nice gore.

I give it a 8 out of 10. Its a good movie and even though its not super realistic its still a good story.

Game Review - Dead Rising

Well I wanted to review a zombie game and I have played one... tho it hasn't been in some time.

Dead Rising came out basically when the Xbox360 did... its old, tho now its a classic so its still available.

I had a copy of it for a long time but at one point it broke... wouldn't load the game past the opening scene. Tho I played though about half the game I can give a decent review... however I never got to survival mode.

The game gives you three days to survive in a mall infested with zombies. There are plenty of survives in the mall with you and you can help rescue them and get them back to the main base. There is also a central story that you follow, and if you skip points of it you will fail. I got stuck on one part because I couldn't get enough guns to kill this one bad guy in time, you can only carry so many items.

You also level up as you go, giving you new abilities like the zombie walk that lets you walk over a sea of zombies. As far as hacking and slashing with whatever you have its fun. Zombies move slow but when they get near you they can fall forward kinda fast.

Weapons are just like they describe, you can use most anything in the mall... from plastic swords that don't do any damage to cash registers, 2x4's, guns, and my fav the chainsaw... when I first found the hardware store I spent like 20 minutes just chopping up zombies outside the store and going back for a new chainsaw when the one I had broke.

You can also take pictures to earn more points/xp. You get bonuses for different things like number of zombies in the scene and if they are attaching someone or even you.

I give the game a 7 out of 10. Its fun but the story can be kinda hard to keep up with, and you gotta be really good to rescue all the survives.

Just thought while I was here I would link a few things I found while using StumbleUpon.

Zombie Pin-ups - I have to say if there isn't one thing I like more then zombies its gotta be Pin-ups. They are classy and sexy... and now they are zombies!

The Outbreak - A interactive movie. Its kinda short but it gives you the choice to do different things though the movie. Basically zombies have attacked and you have to figure out how to get out alive.

Beaufort's Zombie Walk

Hello, I am a Beaufort SC resident and I am starting this blog basically to talk about anything involving zombies and the survival of the human race. Tho I imagine it will be about games, weapons, houses and vehicles... all zombie proofed

Basically my current thought is to have a Zombie Walk to raise money for a select charity... I am not sure what it would be, tho I think it would be sometime next year... provided I could get Beaufort to let us do it. I mean who wouldn't want to give money to a bunch of walking dead.

ZombieWalk.com has information about zombie walks around the US and world. SC seems to have one in Columbia but it looks like that only happened like 2 years ago.

I am currently thing to find a charity and I'm sure my company would sponsor it, its free publicity
